A superb performance by Malawi who surprised many by beating the Algerians. Mwafulirwa, Kafoteka and Banda ensured that the Flames go top of the group in the first round of matches. As for Algeria, there is a lot of work to do, change of personnel and attitude will be the first thing to do. It was an entertaining match and I can only say well done to Malawi. Hats off to coach Phiri for inspiring the players to give their all. It ends Malawi 3 Algeria 0.
